Therapy Development
Before each dosis is taken, strike the bottle strongly against the palm of your other hand or against an object that has elasticity, eg. a book, which gives way. The laborious task of diluting the solution on the tiny globules for the remedy has already taken place in our laboratory. Stir the fluid thoroughly in a glass with a porcelain, horn or plastic spoon, never use a metal one.
Dose
Starting with Q1:
For the treatment of chronic diseases Hahnemann recommended dissolving 1 globulus (seldom several) in a bottle with approximately 8 tablespoons of water, i.e. about 120ml.
This amount is sufficient for 7 to 8 days if taken daily.
Before taking the remedy the bottle has to be hit hard about ten times.
Depending on the sensitivity of the patient he has to take one, two or three teaspoons. It is best to try it out by increasing the dose.
If more than 2-3 teaspoons a day are prescribed, about 15 tablespoons of water, i.e. about 225ml, have to be used for dissolving the globulus.
If the patient is too sensitive, this tablespoon is diluted in a glass (or several glasses) of water.
If the remedy is still necessary after the Q1-treatment, Q2 has to be applied, later Q3, Q4, Q5 etc.
The essential advantage of this method is the fact that these low potencies work quickly and can be applied in case of acute illnesses. Later you may continue with a remedy for chronic diseases, if necessary.
"It is obvious", so Hahnemann, "that the highest ideal of curing can be reached with Q-potencies, namely the fast, soft, lasting restoration of health in the shortest, most reliable way with as little side effects as possible." §2 Organon 6, as well as §2 Organon 1)
Finally
not swallow the liquid immediately, keep it in your mouth for some time.
in case of children the liquid can also be applied to a healthy piece of skin (e.g. hollow of the elbow) during the night.
Do not brush your teeth or eat anything 10 minutes before/after taking the remedy.
Avoid alcohol, tobacco, coffee, black tea, cough drops, chewing gum. Do not drink peppermint or camomile tea.
Do not use remedies containing camphor or menthol such as Wick Vapo Rub, Japanese peppermint oil, because they interact with homeopathic remedies. You should also be cautious as regards perfumes and deodorants.
The remedy should not be kept close to such substances. Furthermore, it has to be protected against heat, sunlight and strong current.
